Podcast: Real Christianity

Whether you are traveling or just sitting at home, listening to podcasts have become a popular pastime in today's society. One popular series is from a couple named Dale and Veronica Partridge. They share podcasts focusing on the truth of the Bible and the lies that our world believes on topics such as: men and women's roles in relationships, sex, culture, family, and so many more.

Journaling:

Something that I have done over the past two years that has really helped me to grow and mature in my faith is journal. I take notes at all of the church services I attend, have a prayer journal, and write down prayer requests. This article titled, "Five Ways to Flourish in Journaling" gives some good tips about how to journal. Such as: Make it Yours, Keep it Simple, Don't Catch Up, Take God Seriously, Bring The Gospel, and Stay With It."

Prayer Apps: Awaken Prayer

Another way to grow in your faith with your community is the Awaken Prayer App for your mobile device. This application allows you to keep track of not only your prayers, but allows you to share them with friends, and theirs with you. Features also include daily reminders, answered prayer sections, private folders as well where you can store personal prayers too. I have used this app this semester with a group of believers and we have been able to share our requests and pray with each other virtually.

Daily Devotionals:

Another resource that has helped keep me rooted in my faith and grow, are daily devotionals. This Bible website, or the mobile app, has over 10,000 different daily devotional Bible study plans to choose from. These plans can be tailored to men, women, children, teenagers, couples, etc. and you can choose what topic to study. It ranges from reading chapters of the Bible, the Gospels, different seasons of the church, or even can be catered to what you are personally dealing with such as peace, fear, anxiety, love, healing, hope, etc. I have completed numerous with my mom, grandma, friends, boyfriend, and family. They are a great way to explore the Bible more in depth and grow closer to God through community.

Radio Stations:

Listening to radio stations are another awesome resource to grow your faith. Two radio stations that I love to listen to are 95.5 The Fish and Moody Radio. Both stations include not only worship music, but also talk shows and testimonies from their listeners. It is always so heart felt to listen to people share their stories and see how God is at work in their lives. It gives me hope and inspires me to continue to have faith and trust God.
